I first visited San Francisco in 2004 and fell in love with the city. I had no idea at the time that I’d end up living there.
On my way to the Galapagos Islands I had a long layover in Atlanta, I made the most of the time and instead of sitting in the airport I visited the Georgia Aquarium. It’s one of the largest aquariums in the world and has an impressive collection including whale sharks.
Everything I new about Boston came from two sources; reading about the Boston Tea Party and the TV show Cheers. What I learnt after going there for a weekend in March is that while it may have a lot of history it also snows a lot and gets very cold. One day I’ll go back when it is warm and see a Red Sox’s game.
My dad and I spent the weekend in Chicago. We spent most of our time exploring the city and watching the Cubs play baseball.
The Mayan and Aztec ruins in Mexico are what have kept me most interested in visiting the country.
I lived in the Seattle area for almost seven years.
The US has a curious rule about renewing visas - visas must be renewed outside the US. Living in Seattle the closest city with a US consulate with Vancouver. A 20 minute flight later I was in Vancouver and on may way to the consulate for a 20 minute appointment.
DC is an amazing city. The architecture is beautiful and little can beat a stroll on warm day down The National Mall taking in the numerous monuments, memorials and museums.
