The spice island of Zanzibar! Even the name seems exotic. Now it’s a popular tourist destination for it’s beautiful beaches, spice plantations and Stone Town. It’s also where I had a camera, iPod and memory cards stolen while on a tour of a spice plantation.
Lake Manyara National Park is a small park. While the park is home to leopards and lions (known for climbing trees in the park) they are rarely seen. Instead there’s a wide variety of herbivores and baboons to watch.
The Serengeti is one of the most well known parks in Africa. There’s an amazing variety of wildlife to see. I spent a few days in the park - two nights camping in the middle of the park.
Ngorongoro Crater - August 2009
The Ngorongoro crater is all the remains of volcano that erupted two to three million years ago. Now the 102 sq. mile crater is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and filled with an abundance of wildlife.
